About the role: At Abaco Systems, a leading provider of embedded solutions in the Aerospace & Defence sector, we are looking for a dynamic and driven Regional Sales Manager to lead growth across the UK and Scandinavia. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment, representing cutting‑edge solutions and driving strategic wins in mission‑critical technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Serve as Regional Manager for Abaco Embedded Products for the UK and Scandinavia.
* Develop strong relationships with customers, selling partners and other key stakeholders to execute a growth strategy.
* Work closely with and provide direction for Field Application Engineer, Inside Sales, and channel partner teams.
* Develop new accounts and expand existing relationships for all products in the Abaco embedded product portfolio.
* Effectively communicate the features and benefits of Abaco Products to prospective customers and sell on value and differentiation.
* Collaborate with customers during qualification and solution generation to become part of the customer’s specification and subsequent request for quotation.
* Capture customer requirements and qualify opportunities to build business.
* Drive new Design Wins to ensure long‑term revenue growth for Abaco in the Military/Aerospace, Commercial and Industrial segments.
* Identify product requirements specific to market needs and provide input to the Product Management Teams for product planning.
* Participate in selected tradeshows, technology days and industry events.
Desired Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or minimum 5 years’ experience selling through contract awards of high‑value embedded solutions to aerospace, defense, industrial and/or commercial applications.
* Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual revenue and sales targets.
* Experience working with customers at all levels within an organization.
* Strong communicator with excellent presentation skills.
* Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time, including internationally.
* Technical knowledge of the Embedded Computing market and technologies, including SBCs, DSP, RF, switches, multiprocessors, I/O, video/graphics, avionics, high‑performance embedded solutions & systems.
* Knowledge of COTS technologies including VME, VPX, CPCI, PMC, XMC, switched fabrics and real‑time operating systems.
* Working knowledge of typical embedded military applications such as radar, sonar, C4ISR, mission computing, targeting/tracking, electronic warfare, communications and EO/IR.
* Established relationships with key A&D industry primes and/or end‑user community.
* Ability to work as a member of a cross‑functional, multi‑disciplinary integrated account and opportunity capture team within a matrixed organization.
* Action‑oriented self‑starter – takes responsibility for decisions, actions & results.
* Knowledge of SFDC or other similar CRM tools.
