Ocean Housing are looking to recruit a Neighbourhood Services Manager who will provide effective management of Ocean Housing's tenancies and estates on a permanent, full time basis. The role will provide effective management of Ocean Housing tenancies and estates including neighbourhood management, anti-social behaviour, tenancy, estate management and services to vulnerable people. Supporting the Senior Neighbourhood Services Manager you will review and develop team plans and annual performance targets and contribute to internal and external inspections/audit, service reviews, risk management and other special projects. You will support your team to promote a management approach to support neighbourhoods by working in partnership with other agencies and customers and devise meaningful and sustainable neighbourhood action plans where appropriate and organise targeted community action days and other events for improving the estate environment. As the manager you will represent Ocean at resident meetings and liaise with councillors and other stakeholders over neighbourhood issues, ensuring a good working relationship. For further information on the Specific Responsibilities please refer to the full Job Description You will have experience of leading and managing a team or function with responsibility for delivering good performance against defined targets and standards. In addition you will have experience of operational planning and policy design and implementation and you will have good understanding of the legislation around tenancy management in a social housing setting, including anti-social behaviour, succession and mutual exchanges. It is essential that you will be educated to Degree or equivalent level 6 qualification. Being a Member of the Chartered Institute of Housing or a professional qualification in housing management or leasehold management is desirable but not essential. The post holder will require a Basic DBS check upon appointment. You will be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and remain calm in high pressure situations along with being able to adapt, manage and move between a varying workload. You will be able to demonstrate patience, diplomacy and able to show empathy whilst balancing the needs of the business.
