The Role – Deputy Manager
* Support the Store Manager day‑to‑day and take full responsibility for all aspects of running a successful store in their absence, including people, financial performance, store standards and customer service.

* Ensure you and your team deliver exceptional customer service by providing a great shopping experience for customers and displaying strong pet and product knowledge.
* Deliver the highest standards of pet care and ensure that the welfare of pets is a top priority, promoting responsible pet ownership.
The Skills
* A passion for pets and people, delighting customers by ensuring an unrivalled shopping experience.
* Previous retail management experience, including deputising for the Store Manager and managing the business on a daily basis.
* A team player, able to communicate effectively and build high‑performing and highly engaged teams.
* Demonstrated track record in developing business performance and exceeding KPIs, while also delivering the highest levels of store standards including health & safety and legal compliance.
* Commercial awareness and a proactive approach with great planning and organisation skills.
* Availability to cover out of hours or provide cover in other stores; requires own transport and a UK driving licence.
* Full‑time, permanent position – 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
