Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Senior Designer - Mechanical with a background in the nuclear or defence sector to be engaged on a permanent basis in Barrow. What you will be doing: You will be producing 3D models of either Pipe routes, HVAC systems or mechanical compartment arrangements using the CAD toolset Your responsibilities will also include producing 2D drawings and electronic data and BoM item development to a fast - paced schedule to support manufacturing, installation, and testing of our products Develop and maintain close working relationships with other Design team members and Stakeholders who are working towards the same common goal Working as a team to produce an Integrated Design that meets our client's expectations and agreed set of requirements Your skills and experiences: Understanding of CAD toolsets and techniques e.g. Foran, Solidworks and Siemens NX etc. in both 2D (Diagrams) and 3D outputs (drawings and models) Understanding of mechanical routed systems at both 2D and 3D level in either piping or HVAC design Experience in Mechanical Compartment Integration / Room Integration and or Engineering Standards at Component / Equipment level HNC / ONC level or degree qualification in relevant STEM subject or equivalent work experience For more information on this role or to register your interest for future job updates, please visit Why We're Different: Westlakes Recruit are...
