Vivid Resourcing currently working with a Scottish local authority who are looking to appoint an interim Planning Policy Officer to support their Local Development Plan work programme on a 9-month contract. The role will focus on progressing plan preparation, drafting and reviewing policy documents, supporting evidence base work, and assisting with consultation responses across the LDP process. The successful candidate will have substantial experience working on Local Plans / Local Development Plans within a local authority setting, a strong understanding of the Scottish planning policy framework and plan-making process, and confidence supporting key stages of plan preparation. Experience liaising with internal teams, consultants, and stakeholders on policy matters will be beneficial. Applicants should be able to work independently in a fully remote environment and add capacity to a busy policy team progressing its LDP.
