Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service
Band 6 MSK Physiotherapist
2 WTE, 37 hours

Are you dynamic, forward-thinking, and team-oriented? If so, join the MSK physiotherapy team in West Lothian.
1. You will work within the MSK physiotherapy team, delivering services at St John’s Hospital and in ten Health Centres across West Lothian.
2. You will manage a mixed caseload of urgent, chronic, orthopaedic, and rheumatology conditions.
3. Referrals come from a variety of sources: GPs, GP Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners (APPs), NHS24 MATS telephone line, and consultants for musculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and rheumatic conditions.
4. You will have opportunities to work in various MSK settings, including one-to-one consultations, gym rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, community settings, pain management, Hands, Women’s Health, GP APP service, Addiwell prison, and DOSA (Day of Surgery Assessment) managing elective orthopaedic conditions.
5. We offer protected CPD time and a comprehensive training program tailored to your needs and work location.
6. You will be allocated a senior mentor to support your objectives, Personal Development Plan (PDP), and pillars of practice.
7. This role provides development opportunities to progress to a Band 7 position within core physiotherapy services or as an APP.
8. We have strong links with our first contact GP Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) service.
9. We collaborate closely with APPs in the Spinal, Shoulder, and Foot & Ankle pathways (additional pathways are planned) to ensure seamless, quality patient care.
10. Flexible working hours are available. Some team members commute from Edinburgh or Glasgow due to good transport links.
