Are you passionate about supporting children with behavioural needs? Do you have experience working with pupils with SEND or challenging behaviour? A welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Woking is seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join their team as soon as possible.
The Role:
You will work closely with class teachers and the SEND team to support pupils with behavioural challenges on a 1:1 or small group basis. This role is pivotal in helping students engage positively with learning and school life.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs
* Implementing behaviour support strategies under the guidance of the SENCo
* Assisting in classroom activities and maintaining a safe, positive environment
* Building trusting relationships with students and staff
* Contributing to individual support plans and feedback reports
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience supporting children with SEND and/or behavioural difficulties
* Calm, empathetic and consistent in approach
* Able to use initiative and adapt to the needs of the pupils
* A team player with strong communication skills
* Available to start immediately
* Ability to commute to Woking
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: September (Long-Term Supply)
Hours: 8:30-3:30 Monday-Friday (some flexibility possible)
Location: Mainstream Primary School, Woking
Pay: Competitive, based on experience
