Joining Marsh Advisory Academy 1 Year Placement Programme, commencing on 30th June 2025, you have the exciting opportunity to help some of the world’s most prestigious institutions to enhance their risk management approaches, handle complex claims and use data-driven analysis to inform a client’s insurance strategy whilst also completing a specialist qualification. We have five graduate and four placement student roles in Analytics Solutions UK.
What you can expect:
We have a number of exciting opportunities on our Marsh Advisory Programme. We are offering 1 year placement tracks in the following areas:
* Analytics Solutions (Actuarial Analyst): Provides analytical services to Marsh’s corporate client base, supporting clients by using statistical models to identify optimal insurance structures and provides a variety of actuarial services to clients, captives, and insurers. You will:
* Work closely with actuarial colleagues, learning the technical and soft skills required to effectively support our clients’ risk financing and regulatory needs.
* Ensure our clients receive solutions tailored to their needs and support insurance brokers with risk placement.
* Deliver projects related to reserving, Solvency II, IFRS 17, and risk finance; from building models to drafting reports and participating in client meetings.
Analytics Solutions (Quantitative Risk Analyst): Provides quantitative risk modelling services, mainly for financial institutions and large corporates. We combine expertise in insurance and financial risk to deliver insights and inform solutions for climate, credit, and operational risks. You will:
* Contribute to innovative projects like climate change, supply chain, and financial impact modelling.
* Collaborate across Marsh and MMC group entities.
* Work towards professional qualifications.
* Have knowledge of coding in Python or R.
Analytics Solutions (Associate Digital Consultant): Offers risk management solutions leveraging third-party technology partnerships. You will:
* Work with digital advisory teams to assess, build, and implement partnerships.
* Support client conversations from discovery to implementation.
* Engage with the wider MMC business.
* Participate in client and partner reviews.
* Understand the impact of technology on insurance and Marsh’s positioning as a risk advisor.
Analytics Solutions (Blue[i] Project Analyst): Supports the deployment of Blue[i], Marsh’s digital analytics platform, providing data and insights for decision-making. You will:
* Support the deployment and marketing of Blue[i] solutions.
* Promote the digital analytics strategy to stakeholders.
* Gather feedback and monitor success metrics.
Throughout the programme, you may also gain exposure to other areas such as Consulting, Claims, Captives, Sales, Digital & Innovation, and Financial Solutions Group. We focus on professional growth, working alongside business leaders, with access to training and support to achieve your career goals.
Minimum requirements:
* On track for a 2:1 or higher in your degree, with a numerate background for Actuarial and Quantitative Risk roles.
* Strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work in teams and build stakeholder relationships.
* Eligibility to work in the UK or Ireland (no visa sponsorship).
Preferred qualities:
* Previous experience in risk management, insurance, engineering, law, claims, health and safety, construction, or analytics.
* Coding skills in VBA, SQL, R, or Python are desirable.
