Job Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Substance Misuse Nurse to join our team at HMP Leeds, a category B men's prison located in Gloucester Terrace, Armley, Leeds, West Yorkshire.

Hours and Salary
37.5 hours per week, with a flexible mix of day and night shifts (7am-8.30pm for days, 8pm-7.30am for nights). Weekends are one or two per month. The salary is up to £48,000 per annum FTE, depending on experience.

Main Duties
* Work within a multidisciplinary team to develop care plans through assessments and recovery planning
* Deliver clinical and psychosocial treatments in group and 1-1 settings, focusing on recovery
* Conduct assessments, initiate and review recovery plans, and communicate treatment options confidently
* Monitor medication responses and liaise with prescribers
* Support group work and liaise with prescribers and Recovery Practitioners
* Occasionally support dispensing
* Uphold a person-centered, recovery-focused approach

Qualifications and Experience
* Registered nurse with current NMC registration
* Evidence of CPD
* RCGP 1 in Substance Misuse or willingness to undertake
* Leadership experience
* Experience with opiate-dependent patients and dependencies
* Sound clinical knowledge of substance misuse
Experience in hospital, community, or prison environments is desirable but not essential.
