Are you an experienced mechanical maintenance engineer within the facilities sector? Seeking a new challenge within 2025? My client is an established FM company looking for a qualified and experienced mechanical maintenance engineer to join a team on a large health care site near Reading, Berkshire. This is a static position working Monday to Friday, 37 hours a week.

Duties and Responsibilities
* Daily PPM and reactive maintenance tasks including UPS systems, control systems, plumbing and drainage systems, boiler room checks, cooling towers, fan coil units, AHUs, fans and heating pumps.
* Carry out reactive and emergency breakdown tasks and complete associated paperwork.
* Be on a call‑out rota to provide full out‑of‑hours cover.
* Oversee visiting sub‑contractors regarding standard of work and health and safety.
* Assist on other properties within the portfolio as needed.
* Carry out all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures.
* Understand and complete all work‑related documentation accurately and on time.
* Work in a safe and diligent manner.
* Comply with all health and safety policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate
* City & Guilds / NVQ Mechanically Qualified (or equivalent).
* Experience in a commercial environment.
* Experience working within a hospital or R&D environment – desired.
* Good building services knowledge.
* Ability to work in a team environment.
* Be able to pass a DBS check.
