About the Role
We are seeking a caring and dedicated Health Care Assistant (1-to-1 Support) to join our team. The successful candidate will provide compassionate, person-centred care and support to residents, ensuring their dignity, comfort, and independence are maintained at all times.
This position involves working closely with individuals who may require one-to-one support due to complex needs, mobility challenges, or health conditions. You will play a vital role in supporting their daily living activities, wellbeing, and overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality personal care, including washing, dressing, and assisting with mobility needs.
* Support residents with eating, drinking, and maintaining good nutrition and hydration.
* Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behaviour to senior staff promptly.
* Assist residents in engaging with social and recreational activities to promote wellbeing.
* Ensure residents' care and support needs are followed according to their individual care plans.
* Support residents with continence care and maintain hygiene standards.
* Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
* Ensure the environment is safe, clean, and comfortable at all times.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and healthcare professionals.
* Follow all Health & Safety, infection control, and safeguarding policies and procedures.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Essential Skills & Experience
* Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach to care.
* Ability to communicate clearly and empathetically with residents and colleagues.
* Willingness to provide personal care and emotional support.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and under supervision.
* Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling and other care duties.
* Reliable and flexible to work shifts, including weekends if required.
Desirable
* Previous experience in a care or support role.
* Knowledge of person-centred care practices.
* NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Health and Social Care.
Pre-Employment Requirements
* Enhanced DBS Required.
* Proof of Right to Work in the UK.
* Satisfactory employment references.
