AEM are currently looking for a Metal Finishing Technician Trainee at our Ramsgate site.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Working in the Metal Finishing section with the following processes, Chrome, Nickel, Cadmium, Silver, Tin, Copper, Phosphate, Heat Treatment, Non Destructive Testing (Nital Etch) and other associated processes.
* Daily tasks include electroplating a variety of components from a wide selection of different aircraft platforms. Plating processes include Cadmium, Nickel, Chrome, Silver, Tin, Copper and Phosphate.
* Help monitor and maintain stock levels of chemicals and consumables.
* Carry out daily, weekly and monthly control checks.
* Maintain the 5S standard required.
* Ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with EASA, FAA and company procedures.
* Ensure you are working in accordance with the relevant Environmental, Health and Safety requirements
Skills and Competencies:
* Numerate and literate - minimum GCSE (or equivalent) Maths and English
* A positive 'cando’ attitude with a problem solving mindset.
* Motivated.
* Ability to communicate effectively with all employees and external customers/auditors.
* Ability to work under pressure.
