An excellent opportunity for a Joinery Production Planner Trainee or Experienced to join a well-established company.
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Training Provided where required.
Trainee Salary - £12.00 - £14.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience (with progression opportunities).
Experienced Salary - £14.00 - £17.00 Per Hour, Depending on Experience (with progression opportunities).
Location: Wickford, Essex, SS11.
Schedule: Monday – Friday (Office Based 45 Hours Per Week).
About The Company: They have been successfully trading for over 25 years, bringing high quality joinery to the trade. They pride themselves on crafting premium, high-end furniture—from wardrobes and doors to reception desks and cabinetry—using MDF, solid timber, and veneer products. They have worked on some of London’s most iconic buildings including No1 Blackfriars, The Ivy London, One Nine Elms.
The company is looking for an organised, detail-oriented Joinery Production Planner with an NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in Carpentry & Joinery to join their office-based production team. The ideal candidate will be experienced within Bench Joinery and will progress their career; no prior office experience needed as the company will provide full training in technical drawing interpretation and cutting list production.
About The Role
Responsibilities include:
* Interpret technical drawings and specifications
* Produce accurate cutting sheets for production
* Ensure materials are optimised for minimal waste
* Liaise with the workshop team to ensure smooth workflow
As a Trainee Production Planner, you'll learn:
* How to read and interpret technical joinery drawings
* Creating accurate cutting lists and material schedules
* Optimising material usage to minimise waste
* Using industry software (training provided)
* Liaising between designers and the workshop team
Candidate Requirements
* NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in Carpentry & Joinery (essential)
* Good numeracy skills and attention to detail
* Basic computer skills (full software training provided)
* Ability to read technical drawings (training given)
* Organised and methodical approach to work
