Job Title: Cloud Platform Engineer

Overview
We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to join the Software Engineering team and contribute to a major delivery unit project. In this role, you will collaborate with engineering teams to design, build, test, and deploy scalable cloud application solutions that integrate both cloud and non-cloud infrastructure.
You will play a key role in building reliable cloud environments, validating architecture designs, and ensuring high levels of security, performance, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, test, and deploy cloud-based application solutions integrating cloud and non-cloud infrastructure.
* Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure and platform environments.
* Develop proofs of architecture to validate architecture feasibility, security, and performance.
* Collaborate with multiple teams to deliver robust and scalable cloud solutions.
* Act as a subject matter expert within the engineering team.
* Support and contribute to technical and architectural decision-making.
* Identify and implement improvements in cloud architecture and platform efficiency.
* Ensure seamless integration of cloud services with existing systems.
* Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing within the team.
* Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and best practices.
Required Skills & Experience
* Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – Strong experience
* Google App Engine (GAE) – Advanced proficiency
* Python – Advanced proficiency
* Terraform – Intermediate to advanced proficiency
* Strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Platform Architecture
* Experience with Google Cloud Storage
* Experience designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions
Preferred Skills
* Experience in cloud architecture design and deployment
* Ability to work in cross-functional and collaborative environments
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
