Salary: £30,000 - 42,000 per year Requirements: Proven background in a similar role within high-risk environments or Data Centres. Sound understanding of infrastructure technologies and networking concepts. Experience with DCIM tools and ticketing systems like ServiceNow or Remedy (desirable). Competence in MS Office and Helpdesk/Service Delivery applications. A reliable team player with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and strong organizational/administrative skills. The ability to work under pressure, use your own initiative, and maintain a flexible approach to shift patterns. Responsibilities: Work a 24x7x365 shift pattern (4 days on/4 days off, 4 nights on/4 nights off). Manage change control, incidents, and resolution. Track and manage assets. Supervise and escort third-party vendors. Plan and implement IT hardware installations adhering to strict Data Centre standards. Plan and decommission network hardware and structured cabling. Update all relevant documentation and inventories. Complete service requests within agreed SLAs. Ensure compliance with our clients and the end-users Health & Safety and Quality Standards. Maintain security procedures regarding the Data Centre environment. Maintain Data Centre toolsets that assist with support and management. Provide management and governance over the Data Centre. Work closely with facilities providers to maximize energy efficiency. Oversee the day-to-day running of the site, including installations, decommissions, and maintenance. Support Data Centre service improvement and major infrastructure projects (e.g., power outages/replacements). Perform basic server configuration (IDRAC, ILO) and fault finding. Manage racking, stacking, moves, changes, and patching. Manage complex inter-rack/room cable infrastructure to provide a stable platform for IT connectivity.
