Job Summary
The Test Centre Associate – Southwark provides secure assessment of prospective new drivers for the Department of Transport. The role involves invigilating exams and delivering tests to candidates, ensuring procedures are followed and the integrity of each test is maintained.
Pay Range
£14.80 per hour.
Responsibilities
* Provide a high level of customer service.
* Check candidates' ID documents and book them in the system.
* Ensure the integrity and security of tests are maintained.
* Supervise and invigilate tests.
* Explain the test process and assist with other queries.
* Review tests and centre schedules.
* Perform daily centre opening and closing procedures.
* Ensure the centre meets candidate needs in line with the Equality Act.
* Handle and report incidents that could impact testing.
Work Schedule
Flexible shifts (part‑time or occasional shifts). Potential for additional hours.
Shift times may include mornings, afternoons, full day, evenings, or combined afternoon & evenings. Main operating days are Monday to Saturday. Minimum 10 hours per week guaranteed.

Qualifications
* Full UK driving licence (driving not required for all locations).
* Significant experience in providing high‑quality customer service.
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
* Ability to work under pressure to short time‑scales and multitask.
* Experience working with diverse customer groups.
* Excellent judgment and decision‑making skills.
* Flexibility in working hours and days, including evenings and Saturday.
* Ability to remain calm and deal with confrontational candidates professionally.
