About the Role
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of ensuring the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems across the campus. Your expertise will support both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and contributing to a high-performing facilities team.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out electrical maintenance, fault-finding, and repairs on systems including lighting, power distribution, emergency systems, and control panels.
* Support the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules.
* Respond to and resolve electrical faults and breakdowns efficiently.
* Ensure all work complies with current electrical regulations and health & safety standards.
* Assist with electrical installations and project work as required.
* Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing, and completed work.
About You
We're looking for someone with:
* Recognized electrical qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds 2365, 18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations).
* Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a facilities or building services environment.
* Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
* Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
