At Barth Haas UK, were passionate about hops. As part of a longstanding, family-owned business, we manufacture and distribute premium hop products to some of the worlds finest breweries. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a dedicated Payroll Officer to ensure our employees are paid accurately and on time, and to support our expanding HR and benefits administration function.
Who Were Looking For
Were seeking an experienced and proactive Payroll Officer to join our small but dynamic HR team. Youll work closely with three HR colleagues to deliver a smooth and compliant payroll operation, provide benefits support, and ensure the continued engagement and satisfaction of our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Payroll Management
* Manage and process two monthly payrolls:
* Subsidiary payroll: ~8 employees
* Use ADP payroll system for both hourly and salaried employees
* Liaise with payroll bureaus for international (European) employees
* Compliance & Reporting
* Handle all HMRC-related payroll requirements, including P11D, P60, taxation, Apprenticeship Levy, and legislative/statutory updates
* Prepare and deliver payroll-related KPI and management reports
* Benefits Administration
* Liaise with benefits broker and providers (e.g., My Benefits, Bupa Cash Plan, Bupa Medical, Life Assurance, Death in Service, Aviva Pension)
* Prepare and update annual renewal data for all benefits packages
* Drive employee engagement in benefits via monthly communications and campaigns
Skills & Attributes
To succeed in this role, youll need to demonstrate:
