Job Description
We are currently seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a well-established and organised fabrication company in Leicester. This is a contract position running through to the end of February, working within a clean, supportive, and productive workshop environment.

About the Role
You will be working on a range of architectural and structural mild steel projects, welding material thicknesses from 3mm up to 20mm. The company operates to a high standard of planning and structure, offering a positive and professional atmosphere for skilled tradespeople.
Key Responsibilities
* MIG welding of mild steel components (3mm-20mm).
* Working from engineering drawings accurately and efficiently.
* Producing high-quality welds to meet company and client specifications.
* Maintaining a tidy and safe workspace in line with health and safety requirements.
* Contributing effectively to team goals while also working independently.
* Meeting production targets and maintaining consistent output.
Requirements
* Time-served experience or relevant qualifications.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings confidently.
* Coded is beneficial but not essential.
* Good work ethic with a reliable and positive attitude.
* Ability to work well as part of a team and independently.
Hours of Work
* Monday to Thursday: 07:00 - 17:30
* Friday: 07:00 - 09:30 (early finish)
* Additional hours available for those wishing to work overtime.
Overtime Rates
* Over 42 to 47 hours: Time and a quarter
* Over 47 hours: Time and a half
* Sundays: Double time
Pay
£16+ per hour (depending on experience).
