Department overview: The Procurement function at Aston Martin is responsible for the selection and management of all external suppliers to the business. The department has a direct impact upon the Company’s profitability, and its team members are relied upon to professionally develop and maintain competitive, stable, long-term supply agreements with its supplier base. These agreements will help Aston Martin to achieve greater commercial success in the future and contribute to the long-term profitability of the company. Job Purpose: In this new role, the Senior Procurement Manager Strategic Supply Chain Design is accountable for setting the long-term supply chain vision and strategy, and for driving cross-functional delivery of that strategy through structural reset and operating model redesign. Reporting to the Procurement Director & working with the Interim Senior Procurement manager, you will establish a team based on business case and develop a targeted approach to the future model sourcing. The role leads enterprise-level initiatives to reset the supply base, footprint and operating model, ensuring compatibility of targets across functions and balancing cost, resilience, capacity, quality and sustainability. This position plays a pivotal role in translating strategic intent into actionable, measurable outcomes across Procurement, Manufacturing, Engineering, Programmes and Finance. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Define the strategic vision & target architecture with cross functional alignment Lead the strategic reset of the value chain through a delivery plan with key roadmaps & appropriate governance Lead & rest the Target Operating Model Define and deliver the optimized supply base / footprint strategy (Make vs Buy, Assy vs Sub Assy) Act as the senior integrator across the business ensuring total cross functional alignment for optimal enterprise-based decisions. Qualification & Experience: Strategic & Leadership Capability Proven ability to set enterprise-level vision and strategy in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Strong executive presence with the credibility to influence without direct authority. Experience leading large-scale transformation or strategic resets. End-to-end supply chain design Automotive / industrial supply networks Make vs Buy and industrial footprint decisions Strong grasp of total cost of ownership, risk modelling and trade-off analysis.
