Dnata Travel Group B2B is now recruiting for a talented PR & Events Manager to join our passionate, driven and hard-working marketing team in Leyland, covering a period of maternity leave for 15 months.
In this role you’ll drive positive editorial for our B2B brands as our day-to-day press officer, supporting the Marketing Director in the creation and delivery of the B2B brands’ communications plans. You’ll also lead the organisation of internal and external events for our trade partners, suppliers and colleagues.

Some travel will be required within the UK to attend events.
Key Tasks
1. Everyday press office activities
2. Help to create and implement the annual PR plan
3. Protect the reputation of our brands by working to mitigate / manage any negative coverage of the brands
4. Lead the coordination, organisation and delivery of internal and external brand events – including the preparation of any schedules, agendas, logistics, on-the-day team coordination, slide decks, branding and collateral.
5. Collaborate on and support wider marketing objectives
6. Support the corporate communications strategy
7. Build and maintain excellent relationships with key B2B media targets
8. Be the first point of contact and respond to incoming media requests
9. Proactively monitor relevant topics and narratives to keep abreast of developments, opportunities and risks, and proactively engage with them as appropriate.
10. Draft and sell-in / distribute press releases, brand communications, alerts, quotes, comments, statements and award entries
11. Contribute to crisis planning and respond as required (this could be out of hours)
12. Help to arrange and host media events and attend travel media networking events.
13. Utilise owned channels, particularly LinkedIn, to promote brand messages.
14. Contribute to internal content planning, supporting in the creation of compelling, impactful, relevant and engaging content for the brands’ platforms.
15. Track and report on coverage, working with the press cuttings agency, accurately measuring value according to a series of qualitative criteria.
16. Build and maintain positive relationships with internal stakeholders – particularly brand owners and leadership team
To be considered for this role, you need to have the following skills, qualifications & experience:
17. PR experience, in-house and/or agency side – ideally with travel-based organisations.
18. Event organisation and management experience
19. UK media relations experience – hold key consumer media contacts across print, online and broadcast media outlets, existing relationships in travel, consumer lifestyle and technology media preferred
20. First class communication skills both written and verbal (including excellent press release and statement writing skills).
21. Creative and innovative – able to develop and deliver imaginative content ideas and techniques or brand campaign ideas.
22. Able to manage changing requirements while staying focused and on point
23. Previous experience working across various stakeholder groups, responding to briefs and managing your own workload.
24. A commitment to excellence and the willingness to go the ‘extra mile’ to meet goals and objectives.
25. Able to handle fast-paced environments, with quick-turn timelines
