Technology Technician – Art & Technology Faculty
Sir John Nelthorpe School is seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Technology Technician to join our supportive and creative Art & Technology Faculty. This is a part-time role, working 20 hours per week, ideally spread across the week, and is particularly well-suited to a retired technology teacher or an individual with similar experience and practical skills in a workshop or educational setting.
About the Role
You will play a key role in supporting the faculty by:
- Preparing lesson materials, resources, and equipment for practical lessons in Textiles, 3D Design, CDT, Art, and Food - --Technology across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
- Stock control and other administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the faculty
- To assist in the maintenance of wall displays
- To maintain storage areas in a tidy state
- To assist in the production of specialised tools and jigs as necessary
- Assisting teachers with classroom setup and demonstrations where required.
- Maintaining and organising tools, machinery, and workspaces in line with health and safety standards.
- Regular use of Circular Saw, Radial arm saw, Chop Saw, Router, Table saw to support the faculty
-Undertaking routine maintenance of workshop equipment and ensuring resources are well-stocked and ready for use.
