As an Activities Assistant at a Barchester care home, you'll deliver imaginative, fun and varied activities to ensure residents enjoy a motivational and fulfilling environment. You’ll help residents live as independently as possible and enhance their involvement with family, friends and the local community.

Deliver an entertainment and activities programme that covers a wide range of pastimes, social activities, outings and events. Support a sense of fun, creativity and the ability to encourage and motivate others. Be enthusiastic and empathetic to help residents live their lives to the full.

You don’t need any specific experience to join us as an Activities Assistant, so you could come from any background. What’s important is that you have a sense of fun, creativity, and the ability to encourage and motivate others. You’ll also need a genuine interest in the people we support. Enthusiastic and empathetic, you’ll enjoy helping residents to live their lives to the full. You’ll have opportunities to develop your skills further with a range of courses designed to build confidence in every aspect of your role.
