Overview
The Delivery Partner Manager is an equal parts advisor and operating partner to Delivery Service Partners (DSP’s). Amazon’s team of Delivery Partner Managers assists and guides our DSP business owners as they build and grow successful last‑mile package delivery businesses within Amazon Logistics (AMZL). The role focuses on starting new businesses, driving expected excellence, and working closely with Regional on The Road (OTR) managers to transition responsibilities and ensure execution of planning and DSP capability.
Key Responsibilities
* Partner with OTR Safety and OTR Regional Managers to ensure business safety compliance.
* Guide owners as they scale their businesses and manage operational issues, ensuring resources are in place to ramp up operations and prepare for peak periods.
* Support owners as they onboard to the program and prepare to launch net‑new DSPs.
* Coach and ensure effective upskilling and utilization of AMZL tools.
* Deep dive to identify customer metric improvement opportunities.
* Champion consistent application of last‑mile processes within Delivery Stations and challenge UTR processes that impact OTR.
* Coach business owners to run compliant, safe and high‑performing companies (SLS metric deep dive).
* Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement operational improvements at the network level to enhance the DSP owner experience.
* Develop the relationship between Amazon and DSP partners, improving DSP sentiment.
* Align communication with DSP business owners following close collaboration with OTR partners.
* Serve as the voice of the DSP within AMZL and represent them in broader business discussions.
* Improve driver standards to protect brand image.
* Work with DSPs to deliver effective ramp plans and pipeline goals, ensuring driver supply meets peak volume demands.
The role is field‑based, requiring significant travel, flexibility to work various hours, including overnight, weekends and holidays.
Basic Qualifications
* Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders across teams and functions.
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, data science, public administration, finance, engineering, human resources or related field.
* Experience in program management, logistics, operations, supply chain, transportation or equivalent.
* Experience managing third‑party vendors or working in reliability/maintenance environments.
* Experience managing contingent workforce in a business with peak season.
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
* Experience in account management or managing customer relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience using analytical, account management, and productivity tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence, SalesForce, Tableau or similar.
* Knowledge of general AI tools.
* Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma.
* Ability to deal with ambiguity, prioritize needs, and deliver measurable results in an agile environment.
