Job summary
Are you a Mental Health Nurse/Occupational Therapist/Social Worker/Psychologist looking for a new leadership challenge?
South Shropshire Mental Health Service are looking to recruit a Band 7 Quality Lead to provide expert clinical knowledge and interventions, advice, support and supervision in the multi-disciplinary pathway, to colleagues, service users and carers. Youwill be responsible for providing leadership to deliver evidence based care and interventions and providing professional leadership within the team alongside the team Operational Lead.
The team is geographically spread across the South East and South West PCN network area with bases in Ludlow and Bridgnorth, the post holder whilst being able to choose their main base would be expected to provide clinical guidance to the teams in both bases.
South Shropshire Mental Health Service provides a variety of functions, and you would be part of driving the quality agenda in all areas of the team including Assessments and Brief Interventions, Primary Care Interventions, Intensive Community Engagement Pilot, Caseload management and supervision.
Main duties of the job
To provide appropriate advice to team staff, multi-disciplinary and Management Groups.
To promote, encourage and develop integration between Community and inpatient services.
In conjunction with the operational lead, monitor and manage the performance of the team and individual team members, to ensure achievements of Trust organisational targets/objectives.
Ensure compliance with the Trust's objectives in relation to the Quality and Safety Agenda achieving a continuous process of monitoring and improving safe effective care delivery
Maintain a strong overview on environmental standards and address any issues relating to safety, dignity, poor quality and poor hygiene and Infection Control.
Promote service audit, evaluation and research.
To lead the development of service standards and policy, including benchmarking, and identifies areas for potential service improvement.
To promote shared decision making with Service User involvement in all aspects of their care
To ensure the availability of clinical supervision and preceptorship
To act as the pathway link, enabling other pathways to engage support for a service user.
To utilise expert clinical knowledge and nursing skills and /or specific to discipline to provide assessment, intervention and clinical guidance as appropriate.

Person Specification
Knowledge
* oRegistered Nurse/Social worker Occupational Therapist or Clinical Psychologist with Evidence of clinical expertise in Mental Health
* oLeadership course
* Masters Qualification in relevant area
* Quality Improvement Training
Experience
* oExperience post qualifying at a senior level with the client group
* oDemonstrable experience of initiating, implementing and evaluating service developments and improving the quality of clinical care
* oDemonstrable experience of providing managerial and clinical supervision
