18 Month Fixed-Term Contract / Secondment Opportunity
The Procurement Systems Team is a hardworking and dedicated team that sits within the Corporate Procurement Services team. We support the council in delivering efficient, compliant, and high-performing procurement and purchasing processes with quick turnarounds to provide technical support for both internal and external users of the ProContract tendering and our contract management systems. The team also maintains purchasing cards and supplier management functions supporting users across the council in the ‘purchase-to-pay’ (P2P) process, including producing and issuing management reports, and ensuring data accuracy and compliance with procurement governance.
We are looking for an enthusiastic team player, with demonstrable project support experience, advanced Google Sheets/ Excel skills and adept with systems admin. Strong customer service skills, the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and a can-do attitude is vital to succeed in the role.
The E- Procurement Systems Officer (Development and Insights) will be responsible for providing varied systems and project support to the procurement team and assist in the delivery of digital projects throughout its’ business interests; and will be part of a team ensuring that future developments are planned, specified and implemented to the Council’s requirements and deadlines.
This role forms a key part of our team, and is central to the successful implementation of procurement and contract management systems to facilitate the delivery of our new strategic objectives therefore the successful candidate must have significant project support experience and good working knowledge of Google Sheets or Excel, Looker Studio or similar, Google Forms, demonstrable advanced Excel /Google Sheets skills.
You would be expected to have:
– An in-depth understanding of public sector P2P processes
– Solid project support experience
– Demonstrable data analysis experience
– Advanced knowledge of Google Sheets or Excel
– Knowledge of software coding (desirable)
– A ‘can-do’ attitude, with appetite for learning and continuous development
