HR & Business Systems Coordinator

Reports to: Therapies Manager

Department: Therapy Team

Contract: 37 hours per week / 52 weeks per year

Overall Purpose

To work within the Therapy Team to provide a wrap-around service of support that enables students to access education and acquire the most important skills that they need for their future lives. Gaining behavioural skills that will enable them to live inclusively in society, develop and maintain meaningful relationships and be able to access day activities, for example work and/or further learning.

* Undertake functional behaviour assessments and assist the behaviour specialist with the complex assessments required.
* Develop and contribute to the development of intervention plans with a focus on skill development.
* Working with students and staff to develop interventions that are shared (with consent) with the students’ families/carers and groups.
* Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of behavioural interventions in order to evidence progress reports and summaries.
* Providing advice, education, information and training to students, staff, families, carers, on best practice behavioural interventions.
* To support colleagues through coaching and training to develop their own practice.
* To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes.
* To work alongside the Behaviour Specialist to implement advanced behavioural strategies.
* To update student records.
* To attend and contribute to multi-disciplinary meetings as requested.
* To work with various staff teams to ensure maximum positive impact.
* Liaising with other parties such as social worker, parents, outreach, psychiatrists etc.
* Contributing positively to a high quality care, teaching and learning environment.
* Analyse individual data to inform decision making and targeted intervention

* Contribute positively to a high-quality teaching, learning and caring environment.
* Comply with health & safety and safeguarding regulations.
* Any other reasonable duties commensurate with role as required.

Education & Qualifications

* Positive Behaviour Support Qualification (Level 5 or 6) – Essential
* English and Maths (Level 2 or above) – Essential
* Meets UKSBA registration requirements as a Behaviour Assistant (from 2026) – Essential

Experience, Knowledge & Abilities

* Experience conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments and writing Behavioural Support Plans – Essential
* Experience supporting individuals with learning disabilities, Autism, and mental health difficulties – Essential
* Experience working within a Multi-disciplinary Therapy Team – Essential
* Experience in educational settings – Desirable
* Ability to work independently under the supervision of a Behaviour Specialist – Desirable
* Experience delivering training to staff teams – Desirable

Skills & Personal Qualities

* Strong written and verbal communication skills – Essential
* Ability to analyse and interpret data to inform decisions – Essential
* Skilled in managing conflicting priorities – Essential
* Proficient in Office 365 and data recording systems – Essential
* Committed to safeguarding and promoting student welfare – Essential
* Reflective practitioner who learns from experience – Essential
* Team player with the ability to maintain objectivity in assessments and interventions – Essential
