Your new role
In this interim role, you will play a pivotal part in supporting the Head of Finance by strengthening financial reporting and controls, ensuring the accuracy andpleteness of the 2025/26 accounts, and implementing an accruals-based accounting process.Please note, this is initially a 3-month contract with the potential to be extended dependent on performance. The role offers full-time flexible hybrid work, with 1–2 days in the office required per week in central Manchester.
What you'll need to succeed
1. You will be a fully qualified Accountant (CIPFA/ACA/CIMA/ACCA Level) or exceptional QBE with strong technical and financial expertise.
2. You will have effectively used Power BI in previous roles to develop financial and performance reporting to ensure accurate reporting and informed decision-making.
3. Candidates with a background in the public sector and / or a history of working within a regulated environment would be well suited to this role.
4. You must be an excellentmunicator with a hands-on approach and can-do attitude.
5. Experience of a shared service centre environment and / or knowledge of Integra finance system would be beneficial but not essential.
6. You will have a proven history of successfully implementing process improvements.
