Infrastructure Project Manager
Leeds or Manchester (Hybrid) ¦ Cox Automotive Europe ¦ CAPTG
Drive transformation. Deliver critical infrastructure. Shape the future of automotive technology in Europe.
At Cox Automotive Product & Technology Group (CAPTG), we build and support the technology that keeps the UK & Europe's automotive ecosystem moving. From data centres and networks to digital products powering our enterprise operations, our teams deliver the platforms trusted by millions across the automotive industry.
We're now looking for a hands‑on Infrastructure Project Manager to lead major technical initiatives across our service, networking, cloud and infrastructure environments.
If you thrive in complex technical landscapes, love working with expert engineering teams, and know how to take a project from concept to successful delivery — this role is built for you.
Why join us?
Because at Cox Automotive, infrastructure matters.
You'll lead projects that underpin core business operations across the UK & Europe — from network upgrades and data centre migrations to physical site buildouts and enterprise service improvements.
You'll work in a collaborative, forward‑thinking environment where technology is seen as an enabler of innovation, not a cost centre. And you'll have the autonomy to shape how we deliver infrastructure excellence.
What you'll be doing
As our Infrastructure Project Manager, you will:
Own and deliver complex infrastructure and networking projects end‑to‑end
Lead planning sessions, define goals, build delivery roadmaps and ensure seamless execution
Coordinate technical teams across service, infrastructure, networking and cloud functions
Manage budgets, resourcing, risks, timelines and milestones
Keep stakeholders informed with clear progress updates and reporting
Ensure solutions meet technical, security, and compliance standards
Maintain high‑quality project documentation and artefacts
Support smooth service transition and operational readiness
Conduct post‑project reviews to drive continuous improvement
Travel across the UK & Europe to support onsite technical delivery
What you bring
Essential experience
Proven track record delivering infrastructure or technical operations projects
Strong understanding of networks, infrastructure, cloud and service operations
Hands‑on, practical project leadership — you don't just coordinate; you get involved
Experience working with technologies such as Cisco, Ruckus, Palo Alto, WatchGuard
Familiarity with Azure and AWS environments
Skilled in scoping requirements, building delivery plans, and managing cross‑functional teams
Ability to manage both CapEx and OpEx budgets confidently
Experience delivering projects across a portfolio that align with wider business strategy
Skills & competencies
Excellent communicator able to influence up to senior executive level
Strong understanding of ITIL, ITSM, change management, risk and quality assurance
Analytical mindset with the ability to make informed decisions under pressure
Highly organised, customer‑focused, and committed to delivering exceptional service
A collaborative leader who lifts others and promotes accountability
Qualifications
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or relevant experience)
Prince2 Practitioner, PMP, or similar certification is highly desirable
Full, clean UK driving licence (travel required across UK & Europe)
Be part of something bigger
This isn't just another project role.
It's an opportunity to shape the technical foundations of a major global organisation, influence how we deliver infrastructure across Europe, and be at the centre of transformative change.
If you're ready to take on complex challenges, lead with confidence, and help drive Cox Automotive's infrastructure future — we want to hear from you.
Apply now and make your mark.
