TECNIQ are seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our dedicated maintenance team, supporting our expanding Witham campus. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and reliability of our facilities and equipment — across eight diverse units ranging from manufacturing plants to design offices.

We restore and rebuild high-end classic racing cars, prepare drivers, manage a programme of touring and racing, and provide full event support.
Roles and Responsibilities
This role is based at our Witham engineering facility.
As a Maintenance Engineer, you’ll ensure the ongoing reliability and efficiency of our equipment, machinery, and facilities. You’ll take ownership of planned preventative maintenance (PPM), diagnose and repair breakdowns, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the business. Your expertise will help drive efficiency, reduce downtime, and support TECNIQ’s commitment to quality, innovation, and operational excellence.
* Perform scheduled maintenance (PPM) on machinery, plant equipment, and facilities
* Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical and pneumatic faults
* Support installation, upgrades, and commissioning of new equipment
* Coordinate with contactors when required
* Provide technical support and advice to operators and department supervisors
* Monitor and report maintenance progress to the Maintenance Manager
* Contribute to the planning and implementation of improvements to systems, processes and facilities
* Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Skills Required
The role holder will:
* Strong fault finding and diagnostic ability
* Excellent understanding of Health and Safety procedures and safe working practices
* Good computer literacy (experience with CMMS beneficial – Training provided)
* Innovative and resourceful approach to problem solving
* Ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively under pressure
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to work collaboratively across departments
* High level of physical dexterity and stamina
* Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and drawings

Experience
* Minimum of 3 years industrial maintenance experience
* Proven experience maintaining and repairing plant and production equipment such as:
o CNC machines
o Compressors
o Pneumatics / Hydraulics
o PLC’s
o LEV systems / HVAC / Ducting systems
Additional Expectations
The role requires a flexible approach, with the ability to adapt to business needs. While the key responsibilities cover the main duties of the role, additional tasks aligned with the general scope and level of responsibility may be required.
£40,000.00 commensurate with experience.
