As a Relief Senior Care Worker in our care home, you will support the delivery of high‑quality care for older people while guiding colleagues during your shift. Working flexibly to cover shifts, you play a vital role in maintaining safe, consistent, person‑centred care.
Responsibilities
* Support residents with personal and intimate care in a respectful and dignified way
* Act as a key worker and contribute to care planning
* Administer and oversee medication in line with procedures
* Monitor residents’ wellbeing and respond to any changes
* Support and guide colleagues during the shift
* Ensure accurate completion of care records and documentation
* Work alongside health professionals and families
* Help organise the shift where required
Qualifications
You will bring strong care experience and the confidence to support colleagues in a senior role. You will demonstrate patience, professionalism and a commitment to delivering high‑quality person‑centred care.
You must hold an SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care. Basic IT skills are required for maintaining records and completing training. You must be a member of the PVG Scheme and registered with the SSSC, or be willing to join and register. This posting requires you to be a Christian faith holder and to work within our Christian ethos, an occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010.
