As a key member of the operational team, you will play a vital front-line role in sales and customer service, coordinating the full hire process and ensuring a seamless experience for our customers.About the RoleWorking from the depot, you will manage the end-to-end hire process — from initial enquiry through to delivery, collection and completion. Success in this role relies on building strong relationships with customers and collaborating closely with internal teams to meet requirements efficiently and to a high standard.You will work in a fast-paced, desk-based environment, coordinating with stock teams, drivers, engineers and depot colleagues to ensure equipment availability and minimise delays. The role also involves managing bookings, tracking orders and maintaining accurate system records.Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate the full hire process from enquiry through to completionBuild and maintain strong customer relationships, delivering excellent serviceProcess orders accurately using internal systemsLiaise with stock teams to ensure equipment availabilityCoordinate deliveries, collections and exchanges with drivers and engineersMonitor hire schedules proactively and resolve issues quicklyCommunicate clearly and professionally via phone and emailMaintain accurate records of customer interactions and transactionsSupport depot operations through effective planning and coordinationContribute to delivering Speedy's ESG Strategy – Decade to DeliverWhat You'll NeedStrong organisational and time management skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsFlexible and adaptable approach to changing prioritiesProactive mindset with a willingness to learn and developFull UK driving licencePrevious hire industry or similar operational/sales experience (desirable)Training and DevelopmentWe provide full structured training, supported by dedicated product and systems teams.
