About The Role
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people? We are opening a 3-bed children’s residential home in Barton Seagrave, supporting children with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs.
We are seeking a Children’s Residential Support Worker/Carer to join our team. As a Support Worker/Carer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the well-being and development of the children in our care.
Position: Children's Waking Nights Support Worker/Carer
Location: Barton Seagrave, Kettering (NN15 postcode)
Hours: 36.75 hours per week, with a mixture of early, late, and weekend shifts. Please note we do not support sponsorship.
Ideally, you will have a driver’s license to support our children’s access to the community, but it is not essential.
We do not offer sponsorship.
The role
* Provide practical assistance and emotional support to empower young people to achieve their goals, respecting their individuality, and enabling them to make appropriate choices in line with their support plans. You will need to complete a range of records and documents.
* Promote the health, well-being, and cultural and spiritual beliefs of the people supported, ensuring these needs are met inclusively.
* Facilitate social, educational, and recreational activities of their choice. Supporting contact with families or significant others is a key priority.
* Undertake day-to-day household tasks such as cleaning, cooking, and shopping. Support children in managing their personal care and hygiene.
