Job Description
The King's School, Canterbury, one of the country's leading schools with a rich musical heritage, invites applications for a Graduate Musician in Residence from September 2026. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent music graduate seeking a dynamic and enriching year within a major independent school. The role would equally suit someone considering a future in music education or performance, with a great deal of meaningful experience across the full spectrum of school music-making.
Responsibilities
* Chamber music coaching
* Sectional rehearsals for orchestral ensembles
* Supporting our choral programme, including weekly sung worship in Canterbury Cathedral
* Supervising practice and managing music scholar schedules
* Providing assistance in the classroom
* Potential opportunities to contribute to academic music teaching
