Role Summary
The Production Supervisor is responsible for planning, organising and controlling production resources so that customer requirements are met efficiently and effectively. This includes monitoring key performance indicators such as cost, quality, delivery, housekeeping and attendance, ensuring compliance with company standards and health and safety regulations.
The position leads and develops a team to achieve high levels of performance, motivation and engagement, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence. The role holder actively drives initiatives to optimise processes, reduce costs and enhance equipment utilisation.
Strong leadership and communication skills are essential, with the ability to adapt to different audiences, build productive working relationships and handle challenging situations confidently. The individual is expected to lead by example, promote teamwork, encourage innovation and maintain a strong sense of urgency to ensure progress and delivery of key objectives.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and organise production resources to meet customer requirements.
* Monitor and control key performance indicators of cost, quality, delivery, housekeeping and absence.
* Support and drive continuous improvement activities to optimise costs, equipment and processes.
* Lead direct reports, building effective teams, developing motivation and commitment, maintaining morale and addressing all disciplinary issues.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including Health and Safety.
