Reservationist (Booker)

Purpose
As a Reservationist - Events & Rooms (Booker), you’ll have a natural passion and desire to deliver the best possible guest journey and experience, creating a strong connection between our guests and Chateau Denmark. You should be organized, proactive, and eager to develop your knowledge of the hospitality industry, the wider Outernet district, and the community.
As a highly valued team member, you’ll play a key role in shaping the guest experience from arrival to departure. Bringing an unparalleled level of service, you’ll work closely with colleagues, embodying a no-half-measures attitude.
Reservationist Profile
* Exceptional attention to detail.
* Ability and drive to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
* Organized and proactive in managing tasks.
* Passionate about creating an exceptional guest experience.
* Excellent team player with outstanding communication and guest-facing skills.
* Relevant experience in a 5-star property.
* Knowledge of reservation systems is desirable.
* Excellent IT skills and numeracy.
* Professional and welcoming telephone manner.
Reservationist Duties
* Managing telephone and email enquiries professionally and promptly.
* Managing room and event reservations according to company guidelines.
* Ensuring reservations are taken accurately with high attention to detail.
* Communicating effectively with the team during event setup, ensuring operational aspects are in place.
* Arranging equipment for events, adhering to budgets, and ensuring quality of suppliers.
* Processing invoices accurately and ensuring correct allocation for sign-off.
* Communicating effectively with colleagues, managers, and operational teams.
* Participating in relevant meetings such as daily briefings, weekly operations, and sales & marketing meetings.
* Assisting with daily administrative duties.
* Managing arrivals and reconfirming reservations daily.
* Maximizing room revenue sales according to company strategy.
* Managing guaranteed bookings, no-shows, and late cancellations where applicable.
* Identifying sales leads and understanding market selling trends.
* Maintaining effective communication with other departments to meet requirements efficiently.
* Performing team duties, assisting other departments as necessary, and carrying out duties assigned by management.
