Overview
Health Care Assistant at Northumberland Heath Medical Centre. Part‑time role working Wednesdays and Thursdays 9:00‑17:00.
Responsibilities
* New patient, routine and disability health checks.
* Chaperoning and laboratory sample processing.
* Vaccination management, cold‑chain storage and routine re‑stocking.
* Clearing and re‑stocking consulting rooms, surgical equipment and vaccine supplies.
* Assisting with minor operations and basic nursing treatments (dressings, stitches, urine testing, blood pressure).
* Basic immunisations (B12, flu).
* Domiciliary visits during flu season.
* Perform simple clinical tests as directed.
* Maintain accurate patient record updates on the computer.
* Participate in practice meetings and audits.
* Maintain effective liaison with other agencies and uphold confidentiality.
Qualifications
* GSCE grade A–C in English and Maths.
* Care Certificate or other relevant health care qualification.
* Experience working in a health care environment.
* Experience in primary care (desirable).
