Children's Support Worker
We are seeking a resilient and nurturing Children's Support Worker to join our Liverpool homes, based in L9. The role involves caring for young people with severe learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs, some of whom are non-verbal.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide support and personal care tailored to the child's needs.
2. Act as a positive role model, offering encouragement and praise.
3. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of children during the night.
4. Offer emotional support to help children reach their full potential, even in challenging situations.
Requirements:
1. Flexibility to support our homes as needed.
2. Relevant experience or transferable skills (e.g., adult care, police, education, ex-forces, supporting vulnerable people).
3. Passion and desire to support children in a homely environment.
4. Good English communication skills; knowledge of Makaton or BSL is beneficial.
5. Experience with child-centred, therapeutic models is advantageous.
6. Natural caring attitude, flexibility, and resilience.
7. Full UK driver's license is beneficial.
