The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Planning and delivering engaging, challenging lessons in line with the national curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4.
* Using a variety of teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners and to support progress and attainment.
* Monitoring and assessing pupil progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and interventions where necessary.
* Collaborating closely with colleagues within the Maths department and across the school to enhance teaching practice and curriculum delivery.
* Promoting positive behaviour and a culture of high expectations.
* Supporting the wider school ethos of pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusion.
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will:
* Holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with experience teaching Maths at secondary level.
* Having strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students to develop their mathematical skills.
* Demonstrating excellent classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate pupils.
* Being committed to maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment.
* Showing a proactive approach to professional development and teamwork.
* Having a good understanding of assessment strategies and using data effectively to support pupil progress.
