Applications are invited for the post of Consultant Cellular Pathologist (2 WTEs) at Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, based at Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital, Exeter.
These posts offer an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, respected and successful team, with the posts created to both accommodate retirements and the increasing case numbers and complexity of cases seen in the department. Opportunities exist in a range of subspecialty areas including but not limited to, Renal pathology, gastrointestinal pathology, liver pathology & haematopathology. Candidates are encouraged to talk to us about their speciality interests to explore the opportunities available.

We will discuss these arrangements with any shortlisted candidates and where possible accommodate individual needs, balanced against the needs of the department.
Its an exciting time to join the Royal Devon team as we continue our integration of services across North and East Devon, where we already have EPIC Beaker on both sites and work with partners across the Penninsula Pathology Network to implement digital pathology.
We have high performing UKAS accredited laboratories across both sites which are well staffed with an entertaining and motivated workforce.
The aim of the department is to manage the workload effectively so that we report clinically urgent specimens in a timely way to meet the needs of the patient, but also to ensure our pathologists have a balanced workload. An excellent work life balance is something we strive for.
