The postholder will support young people with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) to succeed in real workplace settings as part of a Supported Internship programme. The purpose of the role is to enable interns to develop job skills, confidence and independence, so they can progress towards sustained paid employment. Support is gradually reduced as independence increases. The postholder will bridge the gap between education and employment, focusing on skill-building and independence.
