Contract: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours/week, Monday to Friday, 7:30–16:00, occasional weekends)

We're now looking for a Workshop Controller to lead our vehicle maintenance operations and help keep our fleet, and our county, moving.
Your Role
As Workshop Controller, you'll oversee the daily operations of our Skipton workshop, managing a team of Fitters and Chargehands. You'll plan and schedule repairs for our fleet of 240 vehicles and equipment and 96 IPT buses and community minibuses for North Yorkshire Council
You'll ensure all work meets DVSA compliance standards, while maintaining clear communication between operational and support teams to guarantee vehicle safety, availability, and excellent service delivery.

Essential qualifications and experience:
* City & Guilds Level 3 / BTEC National / NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (Mechanical & Electrical)
* Class C HGV driving licence
* Strong knowledge of DVSA transport regulations and compliance
