What we need in a nutshell
We want our guests at Retallack Resort and Spa to have a fantastic time in and around the park during their holiday, enjoying a warm and friendly welcome and all the help they need.
Some of the background
We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. When they are with us, they play crazy games, enjoy show-stopping entertainment and live in the moment. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.
Retallack Resort and Spa is a luxury spa resort and a lively watersports hub, wrapped up in a stunning countryside location close to the North Cornish coast.
We need you to be the person who delivers delight when guests come for your help, whether it’s to book activities, find out what’s on nearby, or ask you 101 questions.
The nitty gritty of what you’ll be doing
Working as part of our slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, you will have one of the most important jobs in the park. You are the holiday fixer; the person guests look to first for directions, advice, to find lost property or simply for a friendly chat.
You will know all about pretty much everything a guest or member could ask and if you don’t know, you’ll find out for them. And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. As long as you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person.
It’s a part time role and, one more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need
We’ll provide training, but you must:
1. Be engaging, happy and helpful; able to make each and every guest feel special
2. Project a professional and positive aura that reassures guests all is well
3. Be willing to turn your hand to anything- guests come first, job titles last.
It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it here and decide if it describes you.
Nice to have but not essential
It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t).
4. Receptionist experience
5. Experience in the hospitality sector
