We are a hands‑on, ambitious business with a genuine passion for what we sell. Our retail store plays a key role in that journey, and we are now looking for a Retail Operations Manager to help take it to the next level.
This is not a standard store manager role. It is an opportunity to step into a leadership position where you can make a real impact on how the store operates, performs and develops.
The role
You will work closely with our existing Store Manager as part of a collaborative leadership team.
Focus
Stepping back to improve processes, performance and team capability
This is a hands‑on role. You will be present on the shop floor, leading from the front, while also bringing structure, commercial thinking and continuous improvement into the operation.
What you will be doing
People leadership
* Lead, support and develop the retail team on a day‑to‑day basis
* Support recruitment, onboarding and ongoing training
* Take ownership of performance management and team development
* Build a strong, accountable and motivated team culture
* Act as a key point of support for the wider team
Commercial & operational performance
* Take ownership of store performance, including sales, conversion and customer experience
* Use data and insight to identify opportunities to improve performance
* Drive high standards across merchandising, stock flow and shop floor execution
* Support effective rota planning and resource management
* Continuously look for ways to improve efficiency and output
Customer experience & product focus
* Create an engaging, high‑energy in‑store experience
* Lead from the front in customer interaction and product engagement
* Build strong product knowledge across the team
* Bring ideas to improve how products are presented and sold
* Support in‑store events and community engagement
* Bring a broader commercial mindset to the retail operation
* Identify and implement improvements to processes and systems
* Contribute to wider business discussions and planning
* Support the ongoing growth and evolution of the retail function
Compliance & standards
* Ensure Health & Safety standards are maintained
* Uphold high operational and visual standards across the store
About you
You will be an experienced retail leader who is confident managing people, performance and standards in a busy environment.

* Proven experience in a senior retail leadership role
* Strong people management and team development skills
* Commercial awareness and a track record of improving results
* A hands‑on approach and confidence leading from the front
* The ability to bring structure, organisation and focus
* A mindset of continuous improvement

* You are naturally curious and willing to learn about our product range
* An interest in toys, models or hobbies is a bonus, not essential
