Job Title: Customer Operations Advisor
Location: Malton
Working Hours: Monday- Friday, 8:30am - 5pm, 40 hours/week
Our client is a technology driven and specialist industrial services provider offering a range of engineering solutions and technical services to a wide variety of industries. Their Malton site is recruiting for the position of a Customer Operations Advisor.
Main duties & responsibilities:
* Use order book to expedite orders and speak to suppliers on a daily basis to ensure orders are on schedule
* Placing orders within necessary timeframes, ensuring best lead time, price and delivery times
* Assist stores colleagues with booking in goods/deliveries, correctly allocating stock into the storeroom
* Providing excellent customer service and assistance to the engineers on-site who attend the office
* Completing necessary steps to enable any non-stocked parts to be sourced, assessing price, lead time and delivery speed and uploaded to the stock systems
* Ordering stock required from suppliers
* Complete manual handling of stock from deliveries to storeroom including heavier items such as motors, pumps, gas bottles
Essential skills/experience/qualifications:
* Competent in basic IT Skills - monitoring emails, data entry, using the stock ordering systems
* Must be comfortable in a fast-paced and high-pressured environment
* Must have excellent communication skills and comfortable in a customer-facing role
* Experience in storerooms/stores activities desirable but not essential, preferred for familiarity with the working environment
* Be able to meet the physical demands of the manual handling required in the role
