Job Description
* Supervise and assist with the maintenance of workshops, including preparing equipment and materials, ensuring safety and efficiency, and reviewing risk assessments.
* Maintain the Doncaster training fleet, making recommendations for vehicle rotation or disposal, and ensuring all vehicles are well maintained.
* Support course delivery and ensure students work safely.
* Assist with workshop setup and breakdown as needed.
* Help develop workshop training aids for technical programs.
* Coordinate with managers to ensure smooth operation of workshops and stores, reporting issues promptly.
* Ensure equipment is maintained to minimize breakdowns.
* Estimate parts and repair costs, and perform repairs where possible.
* Store flammable and hazardous materials safely, maintaining adequate stocks.
* Support the End Point Assessment process with technician duties.
* Maintain cleanliness and safety in working areas.
* Identify and resolve or escalate staff, equipment, or material issues.
* Conduct stock checks and assist with inventory management.
* Assist with general workshop and facility maintenance.
* Serve as an onsite First Aider.
* Deliver and assess Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Level 3 IMI qualifications.
* Host weekly staff meetings on safety and site activities, liaising with the Site Facilities Manager.
* Act as on-site security (PRS) with key holding responsibilities.
* Support asset management tasks alongside the Site Facilities Manager.
* Perform any other business-related tasks as required.
Qualifications
* Level 3 Automotive qualification, preferably with light vehicle specialization.
* First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one.
* Level 2 qualification in English & Maths (GCSE or equivalent) is desirable.
* Hybrid & Electric Vehicle Level 3 Qualification or above.
* Formal health & safety training or willingness to undertake within 12 months.
* Active contribution to improving business processes.
* Ownership of queries and collaborative work within the Bosch Mobility Aftermarket.
* Proactive and effective communication skills.
* Determined, energetic, and flexible attitude.
