GSL Education are seeking a dynamic Drama & Performing Arts Teacher to join schools across Nottinghamshire.
About the Role:
As a Drama & Performing Arts Teacher, you will deliver engaging lessons across Key Stages, encouraging students to develop performance skills, creativity, and self-expression. You will also support students in building confidence, collaboration, and presentation abilities both on stage and in the classroom.
Key Responsibilities of Drama and Performing Arts Teacher:
* Plan and teach engaging lessons in Drama and Performing Arts.
* Support pupils in developing acting, voice, movement, and stagecraft skills.
* Inspire creativity and self-confidence through practical and theoretical lessons.
* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to school productions, performances, and wider cultural activities.
* Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Drama and Performing Arts Teacher Requirements:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent (PGCE, NQT, or relevant degree in Drama/Performing Arts).
* Experience teaching Drama or Performing Arts across Key Stages.
* Strong subject knowledge and passion for the arts.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
* Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
* A clear understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply via GSL Education.
