The role:
At our hotel, we’re looking for a team who are passionate about Cornwall and our local food and drink producers, and are eager to be a part of this county's incredible way of life. As a member of our team, you'll work alongside others who prioritize our guests and support each other.
We seek dynamic individuals who are: organised, supportive, and professional. As the restaurant supervisor in the Living Space Restaurant, you’ll assist the restaurant manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the restaurant. As part of the team, you’ll be friendly, hardworking, and guest-focused. You’ll ensure that you and the team always exceed guest expectations by supervising in a relaxed but professional way.
Responsibilities include:
* Assisting with beverage ordering and deliveries to maintain stock control, minimize wastage, and meet budgeted GP’s.
* Having thorough knowledge of our menus.
* Ensuring the smooth running of the restaurant.
* Deputising for the restaurant manager when required.
* Working with the head chef and restaurant manager to improve food service.
* Training, developing, and managing team performance.
* Handling guest complaints, requests, and enquiries professionally.
* Maintaining a safe environment for staff and guests, adhering to health and safety policies.
* Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant environment.
* Good customer care and complaint handling skills.
* Sound product knowledge of food and drink.
* Friendly, outgoing personality with a passion for customer service.
* Ability to work in and manage a team, remain calm under pressure, and make decisions.
