Job summary
We’re looking for a BPA Administrator to join our BPA Operations team within the Commercial function. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting our Bulk Purchase Annuity (BPA) policyholders and defined benefit pension scheme members. You’ll ensure policyholders receive an exceptional service, working with accuracy, empathy and a deep understanding of pensions processes. You’ll help deliver important member benefits, support governance activity and contribute to the smooth running and continual improvement of our BPA Operations team.
About the role
* Deliver high‑quality administration for BPA policies and DB pensions in line with legislation, scheme rules and policy terms.
* Process transfer values, calculate retirement and death benefits, and support trivial commutation and payment activities.
* Maintain accurate member data and support existence checks, tracing requirements and production of policyholder or member correspondence.
* Assist with reporting, pension increases, benefit statements and wider BPA operational tasks including onboarding new schemes and buy‑in/buyout activities.
* Support vulnerable customers and ensure outcomes are delivered in line with FCA Consumer Duty.
* Contribute to governance and oversight, including attendance at meetings and preparation of written or verbal reports.
About you
* Good understanding of BPA and/or defined benefit pension scheme administration.
* Knowledge of pensions legislation, including awareness of Irish pensions law.
* Strong numeracy skills with the ability to interpret complex information accurately.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and work independently or as part of a team.
* Confident communicator, able to support policyholders, trustees and other stakeholders with clarity and empathy.
* Comfortable working with automated administration systems, with strong PC skills including Excel, Word and Outlook.
