As we continue to expand our operations, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager for our Horsham branch.
Position Overview: We are currently hiring a Service Manager to oversee and coordinate the daily operations of our service department. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing and supervising our service team members, managing administrative duties, and ensuring efficient and high-quality service delivery to our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure smooth and efficient operation of the Service department.
* Schedule Service Appointments: Coordinate with customers to schedule service appointments for machinery maintenance and repairs, ensuring timely and convenient service delivery.
* Dispatch Technicians: Assign technicians to service calls based on expertise, workload, and proximity to customer locations, optimizing efficiency and customer satisfaction.
* Monitor Service Queue: Keep track of incoming service requests and prioritize them based on urgency and customer needs, ensuring prompt attention to all service inquiries.
* Review Work Orders: Review and approve work orders submitted by technicians, ensuring accuracy and completeness of service tasks and documentation.
* Coordinate Parts Ordering: Work closely with the parts department to ensure necessary parts are ordered promptly to complete repairs and maintenance tasks, minimizing downtime for customers.
* Customer Communication: Keep customers informed about the status of their machinery repairs or maintenance, providing updates on timelines and addressing any concerns or issues promptly.
* Quality Control: Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met before returning machinery to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
* Address Customer Concerns: Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and concerns related to service issues, providing solutions, and ensuring a positive customer experience.
* Maintain Service Records: Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of service activities, including work performed, parts used, and customer interactions, in compliance with company policies and procedures.
* Train and Supervise Technicians: Provide guidance and training to service technicians, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs effectively and safely.
* Monitor Inventory Levels: Keep track of inventory levels for service parts and supplies, reordering as needed to maintain adequate stock levels and support efficient service operations.
* Safety Compliance: Ensure that all service activities adhere to safety regulations and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries, promoting a culture of safety within the Service department.
* Update Management: Provide regular reports to management on service department performance, including key metrics such as service turnaround time, customer satisfaction, and technician productivity, to support informed decision-making.
* Continual Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in service processes and procedures, implementing changes to enhance efficiency, customer service, and overall department performance.
* Team Meetings: Conduct daily or weekly meetings with service team members to discuss priorities, address challenges, and coordinate efforts, fostering teamwork and collaboration within the department.
Qualifications/skills:
* Previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role in a service-oriented environment, preferably in the agricultural machinery industry.
* Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop a team of service professionals.
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, team members, and other stakeholders.
* Technical knowledge and understanding of agricultural machinery systems and components, with the ability to interpret technical manuals and diagrams.
* Proficiency in computer software applications.
* Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
* Competitive salary of $90,000 - $120,000 P.A + superannuation. Dependent on experience.
